Darkness arrives – Marsh Harbour in the Bahamas

“If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Wherever you are—if you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment, that life within you, all the time.” – Joseph Campbell

Having watched a wee bit (all right, perhaps too much) of the hurricane reporter footage this weekend, I was reminded of a few of the locations I have recently visited that were a part of this nasty little storms path. Being a South Florida resident, this time of the year has us constantly looking over our shoulders at the Atlantic as the weather patterns roll off of the African continent. Predictable as this time of year is, the storms intensity and track are not. We dodged a big one this weekend (not to steel the phase from the hundreds of reporters that tirelessly follow and report these beasts) and are pretty happy about that. I haven’t seen any reports from the Bahamas though.

I was thinking about this location we were at a little over a year ago while lighting a multi day destination wedding in Marsh Harbor. Our first evening began at this little location having a dinner overlooking the sunset in this little bay. What a great way to start the week right?

I am sure it looks quite different there, but those Bahamians are pretty resilient to these storms. Here’s hoping our friends from Bakers Bay and the little quirky town where our ferry landed (what was the name of that village anyway?) are all ok!

That place looks like bliss. Nice shot and great sky. I listened to too much of the hurricane footage also. Glad it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.ReplyCancel
