A Cathedral all to myself – Exploring the details of the wonder that is Canterbury Cathedral in HDR

What started out as a very un-symetrical image (place your hand over half of it), seemed to be calling out for a little mirror image effect in post. Kinda like how it turned out 🙂

I’ve always loved exploring these impressive European Cathedrals. On my last trip over there, I found the smaller ones (not that this is petite!) are a little more forgiving to the semi obtrusive photographer with a tripod like myself. Sure, I start out rather “stealth-like”, but once I feel I’m in the clear…its an all out capture fest. I have a few more of these I hope to get to someday.

What’s your favorite European interior to capture?

There is a treasure trove of beauty to explore in this world. How lucky are we to be able to enjoy it 🙂

    Amazing detail, clarity and colours.
    Had an opportunity to photograph inside Lincoln Catherdral, England around the New Year. There were few people around and even the Dean actively encouraged me to set up my tripod and click away.ReplyCancel
