A fairy-tale setting along the coast of Ireland

“The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” – Saint Augustine

During a brief interesting sky of color and clouds (and there weren’t many) I took a quick stop along the Irish coast to sample a bit of the scenery with my Nikon. I must tell you, I have no idea what we are looking at here (surprise)….but it’s cozy don’t ya think?

Soon after this capture, I am pretty sure it was overcast again.(once again, surprise!) In fact, I think I might have actually gotten drenched on the way back to the car shortly after this! It’s kinda like South Florida….if you don’t like the weather, wait around for a few minutes, it might actually change!

My trek had me weaving in and out of these peninsula’s on the west side of the island. Chasing the scenery and dodging the weather like a madman, not to mention….driving a slightly oversized car on the left side of the road. Good fun 🙂 Dingy, Dingle, Kalarney, Kinsale, Corke, McCormick and Schmidt (wait a minute, that’s a restaurant up the road here) …….. these names are of course all a blur to me. I tend to purge a few of the details. To be honest with you, if it wasn’t for the GPS, I might still be lost over there! Yeah, I’m sure of that…..

My posts as I was traveling this part of the world took on a bit of an evolution this time around. Well, evolution might be a bit deep of a word to use here…more of like a transformation. Actually, that’s a little too much as well…..(you know, I really should get my thoughts together here first BEFORE I type….

What I mean is, I used to pressure myself into processing and posting images along the way. Silly. Well, this time, ……instead of practicing this mad process along the way, the only goal I had for my images from the Nikon cameras was to download the memory cards and back up to the portable hard drives. End of day work done. Time to enjoy the evening in town! My normal blog posts were then replaced with posts to Facebook with shots I took from the iphone along the way. Here is a link from my “London thru the iPhone” and Ireland thru the iPhone” galleries to see what I mean. I didn’t post much to the fanpage, but am starting to a little more now. If you haven’t, feel free to LIKE it here! Post a link to your page in the comments if you have one and I will LIKE back! Cool 🙂

So anyway, here is an example of one of those images. The iPhone……what a cool invention!

I’ll do a blog post with a few of my favorite apps here soon so check back. There is also a link to the feedburner thingy (I’m sure there is a better way to word that) up on the right side of the blog here too!
