A morning walk at the Hyatt – My secret tidepool in Kauai

“Once you have traveled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quiestest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey.” – Pat Conroy

All right….not too much of a secret, but a special place at 6AM before the rest of the hotel guests start scurrying about! I captured this one of one of my little excursions around the hotel before everyone else got up. Nothing like watching the sun rise up to begin the day!

The weather was a bit strange on this humid Hawaiian morning. Perhaps it was the cool and perhaps over air-conditioned lens that continued to fog up and collide withe the morning air, thus assisting in the creation of that dark ring on the right side of the image (come on, you can see it right?) What ever it was, I decided to blend in a few textures as to somewhat distract from the defect. Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything and you wouldn’t have noticed actually. Hmmmmm….

Anyway, its late and I have to finish packing. Not from this trip, but for the next one.

Starting in the AM, its a week of very long corporate meetings that we are lighting for a well known bank and financial institution, then its off to a week in the desert for Buning man. Talk about extremes in the packing department!

As always, more on all of this later 🙂
