A pool of Autumn Color – Somewhere in New Hampshire

Seem like just last year I was wandering about this beautiful part of the country. Hey wait a minute, it WAS last year!

New England in the fall….no place like it. Of course my heart goes out to all who were recently effected by the torrential rains in the region. Seems like old Mother Earth is having a hard time finding a nice balance lately right?

So off I go in the early AM (why do I book those 6AM flights anyway!)

Heading off to California to capture a bit of the landscape before a conference I am attending up in San Jose. The plan, or at least the rough plan, is to head out of LAX and drive op the East side of the state hitting a few parks along the way. I plan to then explore the Yosemite National Park area for a couple of days before ending up in San Jose.

Of course, there will be plenty of HDR brackets collected, time-lapses created, and iPhone shots posted to Facebook. I had alot of fun during my last trip in Ireland and at times, forgot I had the big gun and tripod in the car! It really is amazing what you can create with that little piece of work!

I plan on also shooting with a new filter I just recieved from B&H Photo called a variable nueral density filter. You can find them thru my link up on the right hand sidebar. I hald off on this filter for a while now, but the waterfalls in Yosemite seemed like a great time to test it out and play with it!

Guess I could have picked a different freeze frame though right? Looks like I am ready to fall asleep!
