“The only Zen you find on the tops of mountains is the Zen you bring up there.” – Robert M. Pirsig
Alright, so I wasn’t at the top of the mountain, but I was in search of my Zen. After a few hours locked up in the ballroom painting the stage and set with color, it was nice to get out into nature to “find center” and see what nature was cooking up in the canvas of the sky. Of course, mid day’s high contrast lighting challenges happens to be one of the worst times to capture that color and detail, so I had to rely on a few post processing tricks. And now, a couple of weeks later, as I process this shot, I find myself finding that special place again…..finding center….and appreciating the canvas that was painted for me that special afternoon on the California Coast.
As far as the recipe for the process?
A little HDR action, a slash of Topaz Simplify, a dash of Nik Color FX, and a sprinkle of Photo Shop.
Enjoy đ

Beautiful photography, good work, well done my friend

This is gorgeous!
I like it! A bit over the top on the HDR but hay…sometimes you just have to let it fly. đ

Great shot and pp. Some might say it’s overly processed, but you created a striking image, from what was perhaps an average photo. Great work!
