Afterglow Mausoleum at Friday Harbor

“We must go beyond textbooks, go out into the bypaths and untrodden depths of the wilderness and travel and explore and tell the world the glories of our journey.” – John Hope

After I was bumbling about this rather odd structure I found in the middle of the woods here in the San Juan Islands, I started to really look at it to try to figure what it all meant. What is the significance of the amount of chairs around the table? And what about the number of columns….and the missing chair…..and 1/3 of a column on the right? All very strange indeed. A few brackets of the scene to create an HDR someday, a few detail shots, and then I moved on…..questions never answered.

There is so much to see and capture in the world, I often purge the details that reside in my short term memory about the sites and scenes themselves……kinda like a RAM dump I guess. I figured there is always a way to google the location to get a bit more info when I need it, and with this location…sure enough, here it is! To get a little more to the story, I added this link below to check out.
