As difficult as it is, I guess it’s time to focus and get back to work. A 2 day jaunt to Orlando with the little one is kind of a tease actually, but still worth it.
This one was captured a couple of summers ago somewhere in Paris. The timing just seemed to work for me…..an American goofing off and wandering the streets of Paris catching a seriously focused Parisian on his way to work (at least I guess he was). Kind of the extreme opposite if you think about it. I have always admired how the French can seeming enjoy a half a glass of water in an outdoor cafe’ for what appears to be hours. I have enjoyed numerous conversations with the French, laughing at our little 2 to 3 week annual vacations….6 to 8 weeks being the norm in France. You know, they may just be on to something there!

Great shot and processing. The tones are fantastic, Mike. And I hear you… after I tell people about the 10 days I get off per year (well now I get an incredible 15 days off) they aren’t so envious anymore about me living in Miami… LOL… and then there is also the 13th and sometimes even 14th "month" salary people get in Europe… erm… why am I living in the US?
W.r.t. your question, I shot the boats and skyline from the "public" boat launch area at Crandon Park. You don’t need a key to get in there, there isn’t even a gate (not yet).
Man they are on to something! We need that here. We could be so much more productive actually.
Love the image Mike. The lines are nice and the lone pedestrian is icing on the cake.
Nicely captured!
Mike – i hear there’s an art fair in two weeks in miami, the grove maybe –
Cool, thanks Rachelle 🙂
excellent capture Mike! composition is stunning
Very nice capture Mike. A classic.
This is outstanding. The perspective, the tones (kind of the blues for being back to work) and the lone gentleman’s posture, sort of trudging off to the start of another day, another week . . . another year. The title is perfectly suited for the mood the photo evokes – brilliant work!
Thank you for your contact 🙂
nice shot….
