The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. – St. Augustine
Hey there Flickr peeps, facebookers, and blog fans! Sorry I haven’t been round these here parts with the images lately, but the cup has been a bit full lately. Seems like we barely get one event finished and its time for the next one. Not complaining of course, just sayin’

So anyway, about the image…….my other passion in life……
I decided to post a couple this evening of the same scene. Taken in New England this fall as I was chasing the color, this scene called out to me as I slammed on the brakes and swerved off the road to get a quick capture.
I tortured it a bit in photomatix, photoshop, and topax to get this kind of “painterly” effect. I then used a couple of presets on the one below to get a completely different look. Not sure which one I like most, so I decided to share them both.
Enjoy 🙂
Incidentally, I originally started this post a few days ago but had a few problems uploading. Some mystery problems with the hosting server, but its all fixed for now. I won’t mention the company cause their customer service rocks and they fixed the problem pretty quick.
Its good to be back 🙂

Stunning. Looks like a painting. The rich colors work very well here.
awsome capture…
Thanks for sharing them both. I defiantly like the blue sky better, they are both great shots.
Wonderful work, great colours.
Agree with previous comments that they are both great pictures, but I guess I’m a sucker for colours as well, as this one for me is the pick of the 2. Especially love the variation of tree colour.
this. is. incredible.

WOW! this is sooo gorgeous!
Cool landscape! Great processing!
Beautiful – yes, I do like the colors – interesting though how both photos change – in the color one I like that it looks like the bright sun is just setting – and the other – a storm coming – I love storms! Super!
Awesome shot.
