Creating art in Iceland

I hadn’t felt like I was out of my league……I mean, Iceland…..long days of incredible light, landscapes, beautiful color…an HDR artists dream. They had seen my portfolio, my site, my posts…..there was no mystery as to the type of images I create. I was asked to bring back my unique vision of Iceland for a destination retreat for a pharma group on an incentive getaway. What a dream trip for me and for a change, I had nothing to do with the technical aspects of the meeting. No lighting, no crews to deal with, no deadlines, no headaches…..just create some art.

Until……

Did you ever try to take pictures of 80 or 100 people on snowmobiles in a blizzard, while zooming along on the back of one of these machines being driven by someone. Yeah, neither have I…..and the pictures proved it!
Not sure how I got roped into that, but would I do it again? In a heartbeat! Perhaps with a little research on technique however.

I did come back with a few that I like however…..enough to know I have to make it back someday!
