Deep in the Canyon / Searching for color in New Hampshire

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.” – John Muir quotes

I had a little fun with this one. Perhaps a bit darker that I normally post but I think it works here.

I decided to update one of the tools in the toy-box. I know a few of you love the Nik ColorEFEX plugin as much as I do and the update to Version 4 is definitely worth the update. I may post a few quick videos about the plugin soon so stay tuned. After playing a bit with the plugin, I refined it in Photoshop. As you can probably guess, there wasn’t much light deep in the canyon, so I decided to paint a little light into the scene.

As far as the ColorEFEX update, on the Apple it’s always a simple and seamless install. (Thank you Steve Jobs!) I sometimes forget how insanely difficult just about ANYTHING was on my windows PC. Poor thing is still whimpering in the corner actually. Hey, you had your chance!

Geeez, what in the world am I rambling about?!

Anyway……I created this from a little side trek off of the beaten path while exploring the fall seasonal change in New Hampshire a couple of years ago. A nice crisp feel in the air….leaves crackling under your feet as you explore the quiet of the forest. Don’t you just love the changing of the seasons?
