“Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.” – Andy Rooney
Well I could come right out of the gate and post a quick story about the shot but first, I feel the need to explain why I haven’t been around in a while. (Strange when one feels the need to describe their absence from their own home now that I think of it!) Not too much of an excuse though. Just haven’t had the creative urge to share any of my work lately. Or the time. More accurately, I have been a little more focussed on the projects I have this time of year with my Hylite lighting team. It’s these few months of hard work that allow me to explore a bit of this amazing world in the off months so I guess thats a good thing. Work hard to play hard or at least budget for it 🙂
(more on that later in the post)
That being said, thanks for stopping by! I fully intent to get the oil can out and lube up this machine and get it running again so stay tuned.
(did that sound as stupid as I think. yeah, I’m pretty sure it did…..)
Cool, you’r still here!
And now for something completely different….
As you know, I like to mix it up here a bit on Sundays. My goal with these posts (if I can remember to stay current with them of course) continues to be to share with you someone who is using their unique gift to share their art with the world. As I have been recently getting my own personal finances tweaked a bit and laser focused, I thought I would share this well known creative finance coach with you. As a few of my readers here are in their own personal career evolution, I thought that some of what he says might resonate with you.
With that said…
Meet the Artist – Dave Ramsey
From his own website…..
America’s trusted voice on money and business, Dave Ramsey is a personal money-management expert and extremely popular national radio personality. His four New York Times best-selling books—Financial Peace, More Than Enough, The Total Money Makeover, and EntreLeadership—have sold more than 7 million copies combined.
From my own words…..
I have recently been consuming quite a bit of his content and teachings from both his podcasts as well as his books on both the subjects of finance and leadership. As a real estate investor, I have for years used a little leverage (and perhaps sometimes too much) to reach my goals, but am starting to rethink the way I go forward. Again, not exactly the type of artist I share here, but I thought that Dave’s teachings would resonate with some of you as I know it has for me!
Here is a quick video about Dave and his story. It’s produced pretty well (and is actually a piece of art it its own right!) We all need mentors and these days, shall I say “Digital Mentors!” He’s a good one to follow, I promise 🙂
Enjoy, and let me know if you like these kinds of posts!
