Hut in Zermatt – The new Oil Paint Effect filter in CS6

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” Pablo Picasso

Has anyone tried out the new trial version of CS6? Lots of new updates to check out. I messed around with the new “Oil Paint” filter on this HDR shot I created from a hike in Zermatt, Switzerland. Pretty cool filter actually.

There are a ton of tutorials out there already, but I first learned about this filter from Gavin from Gavtrain. Check it out here

I must admit, its times like now…when I am cooped up in a dark ballroom listening to incredibly boring presentations that I appreciate those times that get to wander the planet with camera and backpack. It’s a beautiful world out there and I can’t wait to get out and see it again! Till then, it’s time to pay attention to the stage I am lighting!

Incidentally, here is a quick shot of the room I am lighting taken from last nights event. Processed with the new camera raw in Adobe Photoshop Cs6, and not an HDR. The new shadow and highlight sliders are pretty sweet! Check it out here!
