Iron-rich rocks off the coast of Maine (or at least they LOOK like it)….

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” – Lao Tzu

Iron, sulfur, or perhaps just a little overdoing the HDR and process a bit, but I was at a loss for a title. That can get a bit challenging at times ya know?

Although I don’t remember much about the exact color of these slabs rock along the Maine Coast, I do remember quite vividly climbing around like a kid. I’m not sure if it was the tidal pools that I was searching thru, the brilliant light show unfolding in the sky, or just the freedom I felt as I explored the scene on a cool autumn evening that kept me there well past sunset. Acadia National Park….what a cool place to explore. Again, another for the list of revisits for me 🙂

I was really surprised there were no other photogs or tourists around actually. Just me and my Nikon with a front row seat for this beautiful light show in the sky. It truly is amazing what can be done with one light!
