With all the items I have piled on my plate while going thru this buffet called life, there didn’t seem to be any room for learning how to paint. I take that back actually…..not the previous awkwardly worded sentence (although I should, geez, what was with that!), but the fact that I never tried to learn. Shy of painting by numbers and a great class I had in seventh grade art, I never took it seriously. I guess thats one of the reasons I like to experiment and play in the digital darkroom. My hope was that it might “resemble” a painting. Armed with a cool base image, my Wacom Intuos 4 Graphics tablet (those things are awesome!), and a file of textures, I painted in a bit of warmth and vibrance to the scene.
More on those techniques soon!

This is way good. I would love to see a tutorial on how to do the texture effect like you do on a lot of your images.
Hey thanks! I appreciate the complements. I do plan on getting a few clips together soon to start out with. Perhaps a longer tutorial also after that someday. Stay tuned!
Texture tutorial by Mike, can’t wait!
