Leaving Boston

Tourists don’t know where they’ve been, travelers don’t know where they’re going. – Paul Theroux

And I certainly didn’t have a CLUE where I was going this particular evening. I was at the tail end of my trek thru New England in search of a bit of fall color and had an early flight. I had been in Boston several times before and since my flight was a bit on the early side, I decided to stay closer to the airport. After a long and weary day of hugging the coastline, battling a few crazy drivers, I was just looking to crash for the night…..that is until I opened the window shades and caught a glimpse of the city.

Something about the color and vibrancy of the night just pulled me in. I grabbed a camera, caught a cool little water taxi, and made my way into the city. Funny though, outside of the time lapse camera I set up in my room (ohh yeah, have to work on that someday), I never felt the urge to capture anything that night until getting onto the water taxi to head back to the hotel. Kind of a tough shot as I had no tripod and the dock was moving, but I kind of like it!
