“Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.” – Henry Ward Beecher
So I had this idea….this great idea….
Spring break seemed like a great time to take a long weekend with my daughter. As she has quite an eye for the lens, I like to take here out into the world from time to time to give here the opportunity to try and capture her own unique version of it. Savannah seemed like a nice quiet place to do just that. Just a short drive up the coast, nail a nice bed and breakfast, and head out to explore the beauty of the quant little town.
March 17th was the weekend……
Whoops….St. Patricks Day….
As I found out, the town swells up by a few million people, and as I quickly found out, just about all were in search of the green beer (and perhaps a few more than one!)
A pseudo “College Keg Party” is of course not exactly the greatest place to expose a 14 year old to, so I tried to steer clear of the madness.
I’m not sure what she ended up capturing as our goal was to photograph some spring flowers. That was also kind of a bust as I think we were a bit early for the blooms, but we had a million laughs. I guess sometimes thats all that matters 🙂
I did switch it up a bit with my processing and image grabs as I wanted to play around with the new Impressions app from Topaz. I link to it below!
I’m still playing around with it, but I am really digging what you can create with it!
I’ll share a few more in another post soon 🙂
