More about………..

It’s easy to make a buck.  It’s a lot tougher to make a difference. ~Tom Brokaw

Find out how much God has given you and from it take what you need; the remainder is needed by others. ~Saint Augustine

Instead of counting your days, make your days count. ~Author Unknown

My selfish meandering about the globe often finds me peaking into a lifestyle I can’t relate to or better yet, understand. I guess in a strange way, I deal with this ignorance by attempting to see some of these places through the eye of the camera. Sometimes its like I am looking at the world like its in a fishbowl. Strange actually…… I have a few competing sides to my personality and it seems like they all but get in the way of each other most of the time. There is a creative side that I let out once in a while (not nearly enough I must admit) that has a better understanding of these places. If fact, it embraces the beauty of decay.

As you probably know by now, my daily rambles here on the blog at times can be an excruciatingly awkward attempt to express a creative thought about an image of mine. I guess that might have a bit to do with the fact that the image usually is a bit too weak to stand on its own and actually tell the story. Sad but true……

With that said, I was reminded of this fact after a quick visit to a special blog by Scott Kelby…a daily retreat of mine. His Wednesday guest blogger is always a treat, and today was no exception. I have never heard of Ryan Booth until this post. I was really quite blown away with his creative way of telling the story about what is still happening just a short hop off our coast here in South Florida. Check these out. Pretty powerful…….

After a quick reminder that there is still alot to do in Haiti, it’s nice to know that there are people like Frank McKinney making a difference. I have been a supporter of his efforts through the caring house project for a few months now, and can’t think of a better organisation to support. His efforts were in place well before the devistating earth quakes, ramped up full speed during the worst if it, and faithfully continue to this day. If you were at all moved by the above clips (and if you werent, you might want to check your pulse!), head on over to Franks site to see how you might be able to help. A little bit can go a long way over there!
