Nightlights at Felds Point – Wandering the streets in Baltimore

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust

I knew that there was a picture to be made here somewhere, I just wasn’t immediately sure what is was. As is the case with so many of my images, it can sometimes be a challenge to find the subject, or the reason why I stopped to capture the scene in the first place. For the most part, its the light that has me taking a second glance to look deeper into the scene, but sometimes that can make for just a huge stack of, well, how should I say, well lit and dramatic backgrounds. This was no exemption.

From the cobblestone style bricks, to the leading lines, to the texture of the building facade, to the extras hanging out in the cafe’..the stage was set.

I just needed to wait for the lead actor to enter the stage.

And then, he arrived, and drove on through….leaving a trail of light. Perfect. click click click…..got it!

“hey wait, I need a lift back to the hotel!”
