The paintbrush varies from time to time. For over half of the year, the canvas is the space, the brush is the fixture, and the paint is the lumen. Having painted with light for over 30 years now, it still never fails to amaze me what can be done with these simple tools. Of course, the process can be unbelievably involved. Lights, cable, and other heavy stuff as well as the logistical challenge of loading into these spaces. Crew procurement, parking, trucking……you get the idea. Its a long list!
Sure its incredibly rewarding, but like all good things, its nice to escape from it.
To be totally honest, I love the summer break from it!

I guess all that being said, I sometimes like the simplicity of the digital paintbrush. The canvas is the screen and the creative process less cumbersome.
Its a nice diversion……
