Painting with Topaz Impression at the Jefferson Memorial

“Art isn’t only a painting. Art is anything that’s creative, passionate, and personal. And great art resonates with the viewer, not only with the creator.” – Seth Godin

So true. Love that…

I’ve mentioned Seth from time to time here on the blog. A brilliant man and marketer for follow 🙂

I have also talked quite a bit about art here as well. Although I am not one that actually takes physical paint to canvas, I like to simulate the process the digital darkroom. (its also a lot cleaner!)

Not exactly happy with my results at an HDR bracket of this seen from some frames I grabbed one morning running around the Jefferson Memorial, I decided to go that route.

Topaz Impression has been my “go to” program for playing with the digital paint brush. Although I still feel like I am only scratching the surface with these techniques, its the experimentation and the journey that counts.

I kinda like how these turned out actually 🙂

I’ll share a few more of these this week! And of course, check out Topaz Impression for yourself!

Oh, and one more thing, I have been working on updating my portfolio on Smugmug and creating a few “galleries” of the many worlds I am playing in with the camera and digital tools. Check it out here! Its a work in progress, so let me know what you think!
