Playing with light in New York

Thinking a bit about the big city here this evening before I turn in. About to head up there very soon to send someone very special off to college. Seems like just yesterday ….. well, …. you know. You can’t freeze time, or at least you can’t outside of the photo. Guess that’s one of the things I have always liked about photography now that I think of it!

I took a few random “long shutter” shots from one of my last visits up there. Nothing epic, but were sitting in a folder here on the desktop to share someday. I have a few more that I am sure will make it here on the blog very soon.

Made these few whilst wandering around one night a couple of years ago before leaving our little one up there for a college summer camp. Seemed like the actual REAL college trip was a long way off back then. Again, time has a way of speeding up when you least expect it.

Hope to make a few trips up there over the next couple of years though. Its a fun city to immerse yourself into, make art in, and search for light (especially after a little rain). Going to miss you though sunshine …. you grew up too fast for me 🙁
