Silver Springs…..as if I were a painter

“I can look at a fine art photograph and sometimes I can hear music.” – Ansel Adams

I’m not a painter, but sometimes pretend to be one here on the blog! There are some pretty cool apps and programs out there for the digital photographer and artist. Having successfully destroyed a few canvas’s in my day, its been kind of fun to be able to explore these new ways to express myself. This particular image was created from a shot I had from one of my little “explore Florida” road trips. I then worked it in a program called Topaz Adjust to get that painterly look to it. I know its not exactly the best image I’ve displayed here, but I still kinda like it.

For me, sometimes the scene needs a bit of music. While out in the field exploring the world, my ipod helps to create this almost “cinematic” experience for me. The music can can at times help you see a scene in a completely different light. Movie makers have of course known this for years.

…….geez, what the heck am I rambling on about!?

Anyway, as I like to do from time to time, here is another video of some of the music that helps inspire me. I just love the incredible artistry of Pat Metheny’s guitar work layered with Anna Marie Jopek’s heavenly voice. Hope ya like!
