Actually, I think it is quite perfect. I used to be of the conviction that photography needed to represent reality – perhaps a little bit of added saturation was alright, but certainly not more than that. These days, I find that so-called over-processing can simply be an expression of a vision, a playful extension of beauty, if you will.

To my eyes, this is simply gorgeous – albeit obviously not true to what really existed at the time you took this image. You’ve seen my images – most of them have little to do with what a scene actually looked like but are simply the result of my mind’s subjective filter.ReplyCancel

Don’t be too hard on yourself old chap, nothing wrong with this image. end of the day it looks great lovely cityscape nice lighting on the bridge leading you into the shot and so what if the sunset might be in your opinion too much. it is nice and rich and I have seen a sky or two like this over here.ReplyCancel

definitely not a piece of garbage. i always consider an image an expression of the photographer’s vision. and every vision is very personal. one must not dwell too much on what others may think for fear of losing one’s sense of individuality. i say this is art – your art. do i like it – absolutely. will everybody like it? does it matter? so keep expressing yourself, Michael.ReplyCancel
