The Louvre Pyramid in Paris – A great place to reflect

“Night, the beloved.  Night, when words fade and things come alive.  When the destructive analysis of day is done, and all that is truly important becomes whole and sound again.  When man reassembles his fragmentary self and grows with the calm of a tree.”  – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

There is something about this place at night. Paris in general is one of those cities that just seems to bust open with energy at sundown, but for the traveler looking for a safe place to chill out and contemplate his journey thus far, this place in particular is one of those cool places to just be. All around the Louvre Museum, there are these really cool pools of water with benches around them and people from all over the world. A great place to meet fellow travelers and you know, just hang out…..without a care in the world. No giant to do lists to worry about, no proposals to create, no meetings tomorrow morning, no schedule to figure out, no money to chase……

Uuuhh, wait a minute…..caught myself complaining here a bit. Yeah, I’m a little buried here in the world of event lighting and trying to play catch up…..but happy to have the work as it is the season in Palm Beach. Guess thats why I like to think back to those times when I get to wander the world in search of that balance, beauty, and of course …… light!
